Word to the wise: Connected to the 420,000-square-metre mall by a bridge, The Gardens, hosts a range of upscale shops including Burberry, DKNY, Lacoste and Louis Vuitton.
Malls in Southeast Asia are a common sight and a welcome refuge from the suffocating and drenching heat outside. But this megamall is more than just a refuge: it’s like a small village.
In one colossal space, you’ll find more than 400 stores (including three major department stores), a multitude of restaurants, two large food courts, a bowling alley, a state-of-the-art cinema and a huge bookstore called MPH. This is the best mall in KL to visit for affordable brand-name fashion, with big international players like Zara and Topshop, as well as a host of Asian chains.
There’s a lot of ground for the eager shopper to cover and you could quite easily spend the entire day here and still not manage to see everything.
